Samsung is all set to expand its mid-range lineup in India with the Galaxy F70 5G, which launches on October 18. A Flipkart microsite for the phone is already live, confirming that the device will target the highly competitive sub-Rs 20,000 segment. With a 50MP OIS camera, a slim 7.5mm body and Samsung’s latest AI features, the F70 5G looks like a strong contender in the budget 5G space.
Samsung Galaxy F70 5G Price in India and Availability
Samsung has positioned the Galaxy F70 5G below Rs 20,000, putting it directly against popular budget 5G phones from Redmi, Realme and iQOO. The phone will be sold exclusively through Flipkart in India, and the microsite suggests the sale will begin shortly after the October 18 launch. Samsung has not revealed the exact price or variant details yet, but the sub-Rs 20,000 positioning is confirmed.
The launch follows the Galaxy F70e from February and the Galaxy F70 Pro from August, completing the F70 series lineup in India.
Samsung Galaxy F70 5G Specifications
Display and Design
The Galaxy F70 5G features an FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a waterdrop notch. Samsung is marketing the phone under its “designed and made in India” initiative, and the design reflects a premium push: the chassis is just 7.5mm slim, the build is dust- and splash-resistant, and the display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. The phone will come in two colour options – Vivid Violet and Bold Black.
Camera: 50MP “No Shake Cam” with OIS
The headline feature is Samsung’s “No Shake Cam” – a 50-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS), a rarity in the sub-Rs 20,000 segment where most phones rely on electronic stabilisation. It is joined by a 5-megapixel ultrawide lens and a 2-megapixel macro sensor, while a 13-megapixel camera handles selfies and video calls.
Performance and Battery
Under the hood, the Galaxy F70 5G is powered by Samsung’s Exynos 1330 chipset, paired with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 25W wired fast charging. Reports suggest the F70 5G shares its hardware with the Galaxy A17 5G, which would mean up to 8GB of RAM, up to 256GB of storage and an impressive six years of Android OS updates – though Samsung is yet to confirm this officially.
Software and AI Features
Samsung is bringing its premium AI and ecosystem features down to the budget segment. The Galaxy F70 5G supports Google’s Circle to Search and Gemini, alongside Samsung Wallet with tap-and-pay, Quick Share, Voice Focus and Knox security.
Should You Wait for the Galaxy F70 5G?
If you are shopping for a 5G phone under Rs 20,000, the Galaxy F70 5G deserves a spot on your shortlist. The combination of a 50MP OIS camera, Gorilla Glass Victus protection, a slim 7.5mm design and Circle to Search AI is genuinely hard to find at this price. The Exynos 1330 is a proven mid-range chip, and Samsung’s update promise – if it matches the A17 5G’s six-year policy – would make it one of the longest-supported phones in its class. Wait for the official price reveal on October 18 before deciding.
