The RedMagic 12 Pro+ is launching in China tomorrow, October 15, 2026, at 12:00 PM IST (2:30 PM CST). RedMagic’s next gaming flagship is shaping up to be one of the most interesting phones of the year — it’s the world’s first smartphone with RGB liquid cooling, and it runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, the same 2nm chip inside the OnePlus 16 and iQOO 16.
Here’s everything that’s confirmed, what’s still a rumour, and what price to expect.
Launch Date and Time
RedMagic has confirmed the 12 Pro+ will launch in China on October 15, 2026, at 2:30 PM CST, which is 12:00 PM IST. Reservations are already open in China via RedMagic’s official website and JD.com, with a 100 yuan deposit unlocking benefits worth up to 4,300 yuan, including a free RedMagic Cooler 8 Pro.
What’s Confirmed
RGB liquid cooling. The headline feature. RedMagic calls it the industry’s first RGB water-cooled thermal management system in a phone. Coolant flows through two ring-shaped loops — one over the processor, one over the battery — driven by a new dual-crystal micro-pump (130 kPa, up from 100 kPa on the 11 Pro+). A light-guide structure above the air channel makes RGB lighting trace the coolant’s path. It looks striking; whether it cools better than a vapor chamber will need independent testing.
Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6. Qualcomm’s 2nm flagship chip, the same silicon powering this month’s other gaming flagships.
Design. Transparent back panel showing off the cooling internals, with the rear cameras now completely flush — no camera bump, so the phone sits flat on a table. Thinner, lighter, and narrower than the RedMagic 11 Pro+, with more rounded edges. Three colours: Dark Night, Silver Wing, and Ice Blue.
Display. Flat panel with no punch-hole or notch, using RedMagic’s ninth-generation under-display selfie camera. Bezels have shrunk to just 0.96mm, down from 1.25mm.
Audio. Dolby Atmos stereo speakers.
What’s Still a Rumour
Battery and charging. Leaks point to an 8,400mAh battery with 120W wired and 80W wireless charging. Treat this as expected, not confirmed — RedMagic hasn’t announced it officially.
Display refresh rate. One outlet reports a 185Hz BOE panel; others say 144Hz. Either way, expect a high-refresh-rate gaming display.
Price. Not announced. For context, the RedMagic 11 Pro started at €699 and the 11S Pro at €799, so expect the 12 Pro+ to land in a similar range or slightly higher.
India and Global Launch
No India launch date has been announced. RedMagic has started teasing the phone on its global social media accounts, suggesting an international launch could follow — possibly as the “RedMagic 12 Pro” around November, based on the 11 Pro’s history. Nothing is confirmed yet.
What to Watch Tomorrow
The launch event tomorrow at 12:00 PM IST will reveal the official price, full specifications, and availability. We’ll update this story once RedMagic makes it official.
