TECNO has officially launched the SPARK 50s 5G in India, expanding its Spark 50 series in the sub-Rs. 20,000 smartphone segment. The new 5G phone goes on sale from October 20, 2026, starting at Rs. 19,999 for the 6GB + 128GB variant and Rs. 22,999 for the 8GB + 128GB model. It will be available in two colours — Burgundy Red and Breeze Blue — exclusively through offline retail stores across India.
The launch comes at a time when rising memory and component costs are pushing budget 5G phones further out of reach. TECNO is positioning the SPARK 50s 5G as its most aggressive 5G price yet, with a tagline of “5G ka Dhurandhar”, targeting users who want reliable connectivity, tough build quality, and long battery life without paying more.

The smartphone will go on sale starting October 20, 2026, exclusively via offline retail stores throughout India. Two variants: 6GB RAM + 128GB storage at Rs. 19,999 and 8GB RAM + 128GB storage at Rs. 22,999. Both come with 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage expandable up to 2TB via a dedicated microSD card slot.
TECNO SPARK 50s 5G Specifications
The SPARK 50s 5G is built around the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 chipset, a 6nm octa-core processor with two Cortex-A76 cores clocked at 2.5GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores at 2.0GHz, paired with an Arm Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. It runs Android 16 with HiOS 16 out of the box.
Display and Battery
On the front, you get a 6.78-inch HD+ display (720 x 1,576 pixels) with a 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, and up to 560 nits of brightness for smoother scrolling, gaming, and video playback.
Powering the device is a large 6,500mAh battery supported by 45W fast charging — a strong combination for the under-Rs. 20,000 segment where most phones still ship with 5,000mAh batteries.
Camera
For photography, the SPARK 50s 5G features a 50MP rear camera with an f/1.85 aperture and LED flash. On the front, you get an 8MP selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture for selfies and video calls.
FreeLink, Durability and AI Features
One of the standout features of the SPARK 50s 5G is FreeLink, TECNO’s proprietary offline communication feature. It enables point-to-point voice calls, text messaging, and image sharing over distances of up to 1.5 km without cellular reception or Wi-Fi under line-of-sight conditions — handy for warehouses, farms, and industrial sites.
The phone also focuses on network reliability with 4×4 MIMO antenna technology and UPS 3.0, which the company says can make UPI transactions up to twice as fast in congested areas like basements and crowded markets.
For durability, the SPARK 50s 5G carries an IP64 Pro rating for dust and water splash resistance and meets MIL-STD-810H military-grade durability standards. The phone weighs 210 grams and measures 8.18mm thick.
On the software side, smart features include AI Noise Cancellation for clearer calls, Google Gemini integration for writing and task help, and Circle to Search. You also get a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and a 3.5mm audio jack.
Should You Buy the TECNO SPARK 50s 5G?
At Rs. 19,999, the TECNO SPARK 50s 5G is one of the most affordable Dimensity 6400 phones in India with Android 16, a 120Hz display, a 6,500mAh battery with 45W charging, and MIL-STD-810H durability. The FreeLink offline calling feature and IP64 Pro rating give it a clear edge in the crowded sub-Rs. 20,000 5G segment this festive season.
