Vivo has launched the Vivo V80 in India as the latest addition to its popular V-series lineup. The handset arrives as the successor to the Vivo V70 and brings several upgrades including a faster chipset, smoother display, and Zeiss-branded cameras.
Vivo V80 Specifications
The Vivo V80 sports a 6.59-inch AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, making it one of the smoothest displays in its segment. The screen offers vibrant colors and excellent outdoor visibility.
Under the hood, the phone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, paired with up to 12GB RAM. This should deliver strong performance for gaming, multitasking, and everyday use.
For photography, the Vivo V80 features a triple rear camera setup co-developed with Zeiss. Zeiss optics have been a highlight of Vivo’s V-series, delivering excellent portrait and low-light photography.
The phone runs Android 17-based OriginOS 7 out of the box. Vivo has also confirmed the OriginOS 7 rollout schedule for older devices, with the first batch including the Vivo X Fold 5, Vivo X300 Ultra, Vivo X300 Pro, Vivo X300, and Vivo X300 FE.
Battery and Charging
One of the biggest highlights is the massive 7,200mAh battery. This is significantly larger than most phones in this segment and should easily last two days for moderate users. Fast charging support ensures quick top-ups.
Vivo V80 Price in India
Vivo has positioned the V80 as a premium mid-range offering. The exact pricing and sale date will be announced soon. Given the specifications, expect competitive pricing against rivals from OnePlus, Samsung, and iQOO.
